Stoneground Paint Co. "Earth Palette" 14pc Watercolour Set

Stoneground's Large Earth Palette is one that artists of old would recognize. Until the advent of synthetic pigments, artists created their own paints from earth pigments such as yellow ochres, red and green earths, mineral blues, bone and lamp blacks.

Use the colours featured here to compose beautiful tonal works, or work bi-chromatically with combinations of these colours to create interesting studies with mood and character. Supplement this palette with a combination of primary colours such as Hansa Yellow, Pyrrole Red, and Ultramarine Blue for a palette that can paint the rainbow.
