Chroma® Professional Gesso (1 Quart; 32 fl. oz.)

Premium, heavy-bodied bright white gesso with maximum opacity, adhesion, and water-resistance. Contains high levels of titanium dioxide, calcite grit, and acrylic resin. Dries to a non-yellowing, flexible matte finish. Apply to unprimed surfaces such as canvas, linen, wood, and paper. 

For Best Use:

- Apply to unprimed surface such as canvas, linen, wood, and paper

- Stirring the gesso is recommended. Professional gesso contains heavy minerals that may settle. Do not use vigor as air bubbles may be introduced into your paint foundation

- Using a brush or roller, apply gesso to a clean surface, diluting first coat with water 1:1 for maximum surface penetration

- Apply a minimum of three coats of gesso to avoid oil penetration; allow gesso to dry thoroughly between each coat

- Can be lightly sanded between each coat for a smoother ground

- Allow 2-3 days before beginning your painting. The Acrylic resins are very important to the stability of your art. The cure will depend on the humidity and temperature in your studio
